Persona - Kang Ta

another great singer songwriter. his real name is ahn chil-hyun, born on oct 10, 1979. admire him so much. nice soulful vocal, handsome face, tall, great body, amazing dancer, successful career, cool personality...man...it seems like he got everything dat any girl on earth cud ask 4 haha ;B

actually he was 1st came into the music industry as the lead vocalist of the boy band HOT (High-Five Of Teenagers) but later on continued his solo career when HOT disbanded in march 2001. he produced strings of hits but dis 1 struck me the most. one of my fav r&b song. its the 1st single in his 4th solo album wit the same title. anyway, despite the nice rhythm of the song, the lyric kinda a lil' bit messed up (askin the girl 2 leave, n then later askin her not 2, blamin himself, then again blamin her, a lot of confusion there) but stil i favoured it coz it is not too cheesy n illogical (minus the suicidal thoughts quoted there) like any other fantasy love songs instead it shows the real painful truth bout separation, usually sad love songs bout breakups only portray the sad feelings of the lover but dis song oso shows another side, the anger emotion, n 4 me dats wat makes dis song more realistic than the others

i bumped into dis song when i was a teenager, at dat time well cd was oredi invented but we (my family) were stil using cassettes, during dat time internet is like an alien 2 us (we dnt even now wat the heck is 'internet' haha) so no internet no free downloads therefore when we like a certain song we used 2 record it using the tapes n radio everytime they play it on air, its kinda funny coz sometimes we can only manage 2 record these songs halfway bcoz we were out of tapes hohoho.. almost all the songs dat hv been recorded r the radio edit version coz the djs owez interrupt when they play the songs but it doesnt matter anyway coz as long as we cn get the songs 4 free then its ok haha [attn dis is a bad habit, support the music industry, buy the originals k ;B]

talkin bout dis song, my sis darlene only managed 2 record it halfway, even so i stil luv it anyway, i keep listening 2 it over n over again n nvr get bored but the prob is i ddnt knw the title of dis song (n of coz i ddnt knw who's the singer as well) so its kinda hard 4 me 2 search 4 it in the intrnet. luckily last yr i saw the music video in mtv so i did manage 2 find it in the intrnet finally.. ;B

2 b frank, i dnt understand the lyric at all (2 many metaphors, 2 deep 4 me, i'm kinda a 'blunt' person when it comes 2 english literacy haha) therefore its kinda hard 4 me 2 connect my soul 2 the song but anyway i luv her soft voice n the melody of dis song, the music arrangement is fantastic too, everything is in the ryte place. i dunno y but everytime i hear dis song it gives me a creepy feeling, like i'm in another world, in a fantasy land juz like the lord of the ring's world geezzz... really suits 2 put dis as a soundtrack 4 any fantasy film

its frm her 5th album [published on the 11th of april 2005] 'Sunny Side Of My Heart'. born in 1973, july 22nd, but she stil look young n stunning til now. actually she began her musical career as a jazz vocalist at 1st but later on decided 2 change direction n jump into a difren genre : kpop music. i luv her soft husky voice so much. she is like the korean version of kelly clarkson. all her songs r amazing n dis is one of my fav no. the music arrangement is great, ryte frm the beginning til the end, juz luv it..

Jaga Selalu Hatimu - Seventeen

one of my fav indon band, seventeen. they produced lots of hits [Untuk Mencintaimu, Selalu Mengalah etc..] n i luv most of their songs but dis particular track 'Jaga Selalu Hatimu' gotten me so bad, the music arrangement is kinda weird but interesting, the music tempo owez changing frm the intro 2 the chorus 2 the solo n towards the end n i think dats wat makes it difren frm d other indon pop songs. the lyric is beautiful as well, very meaningful, it tells a story bout distant lovers, askin 4 d other half 2 wait 4 him/her. 4 me the best part of the lyric is the phrase 'kau jaga selalu hatimu, saat jauh dariku, tunggu aku kembali' [you, take a good care of ur heart when u r far away frm me, wait 4 me] : i think the songwriter is tryin 2 use a metaphor here when he said 'take care of ur heart' wat he really meant was 'dnt call up or text me juz 2 get mad at me, u hv 2 trust me even if we r so far away frm each other n dnt fall 4 any guys while i'm not there' but in a symbolic n sweet way he juz use the phrase 'jaga selalu hatimu' hehehe... but anyway, i may get it the wrong way but dat is my own interpretation of dis song ;B

yup i knw Tae Yeon frm SNSD [So Nyeo Shi Dae] sang dis song 2 but i prefer the male version made by jang geun suk. he's not only a gorgeous good looking korean actor but oso a great korean singer. his superb n soulful voice really suits 4 dis ballad n yes again he made dis sad song even sadder than the female version. no offense 2 snsd but i like the guy version better hehehe..

recently i heard dat JGS planning 2 make a debut in japan, looks like he's goin 2 expand his music career there but unfortunately the debut has been postponed due 2 the tsunami n earthquake disaster. he later donated quite a big sum of money 4 the japan relief...a great singer/actor wit a big heart..*sigh*...wat a perfect guy....;B

every1 knws who is charice, a petite girl frm Philippines wit powerful voice dat is not only wowed the crowd but oso 2 the great singer of all time, Celine Dion [she even got the chance 2 do a duet wit her at the madison square garden performing the song; bcoz u luv me], n not 4getting Oprah too was impressed wit her voice. i saw a glimpse of her in the high school musical drama glee currently competing wit rachel 4 the solo, i think she sounds better than rachel hohohoho.

anyway, talkin bout her song note 2 god, dis is her 1st debut single n yup i do luv it so much. the lyric is vry meaningful, very inspiring n highly spirited indeed. its like our prayer 2 God in a form of a song. i think dis is one of the best songs i've known so far dat is very suitable 2 b performed by any group in any choir competition.

dis is another beautiful musical piece dat i luv so much. Lee Ji Soo is a composer n oso a very well-known pianist in korea. he has been composing a lot of theme songs for korean dramas including winter sonata ['still' n 'the first time'], spring waltz [love poem] n summer scent. in the drama spring waltz he composed the english classical song, clementine [oh my darling3x... clementine...ahha dats the one]. he made a piano version 4 dat song n yes it was oso one of my fav piece frm him.

[4 me, the best of part of the lyric is 'i can love anyone but that love can't be you'. i cudnt agree more with dis phrase. everytime we experience a heartbreak we owez felt dat we wil nvr b in luv again, we lost faith in luv, we juz gv up, no more trust in men/women n bla bla bla...but the truth is we wil eventually keep on fallin in luv again n again no matter hw many heartbreaks we r goin 2 face...bcoz time wil heals all the wounds n we wil finally find ourselves in luv again but the thing is dat luv wont b the same as b4, the feeling wil be difren each time we fall in luv.. n i think dat is wat the phrase is all about.]

its a really beautiful song, very personal 2 me, the lyric is not really cheesy like the other ballads, it is more mature n realistic n dat is y i luv it so much...hope u guyz oso enjoy dis song as much as i did.. ;B

again, dis is a sad luv song [i hv the tendency 2 fall 4 sad songs hohoho n i dunno y..] n the lyric is oso kinda straight4ward, the guy luv the girl, the girl dsnt luv him back, the guy is willing 2 do n sacrifice everything 4 the sake of the girl but stil the girl dsnt luv him back, i dunno if dis kind of luv do exists in the real world, myb yes but i beg 2 differ...hohohoho..

i m back hehe ;B... ok.. the first song dat i wud like 2 blog bout is 'Seandainya - Vierra'.. myb some of u hvnt heard dis song b4.. i really luv dis song, the lyrics, the tunes, the singer...all of it.. 4 me its a perfect song...

the songlyric is actually kind of direct n straight 4ward.. by listening 2 the song itself u cn imagine hw it may relate wit my life or myb wit ur life too hehe...

its a very sad song actually, usually sad songs r ballads but dis song is not really a slow ballad, its a fast-paced pop song, if u dnt undrstand malay or indon u may hv mistaken it as an ordinary luv song or a happy song due 2 its catchy tunes hoohhoho n myb dats wat makes dis song quite unique 2 me ;B

hmmm...hw shud i start here... ok 2 b frank, i hv decided 2 create dis blog a long time ago but due to some unavoidable circumstances it had been postponed 4 ages.. anyway, 2 make dis short, i m really really really boring ryte now so i think its better 4 me 2 spare some of my leisure time [apart from sleeping, eating n watchin tv] by doing something different like 'blogging' since i luv writing so much haha [journalism is one of my passion hahaha kenen ;B]. b4 i proceed further, my apology goes 2 all the english teachers out there reading my blog here, i'm using a very 'bad' english here [n also plz pardon me if there's any grammatical mistakes, nobody's perfect, feel free 2 correct me ok], i ddnt mean 2 disrespect dis international language by any means or thoughts..
